[EN] South Africa: ‘Book Dash’ Gathers…

Book Dash is a non-profit organisation, licensed under a Creative Common Attribution Licence, wish offers its subscribers the opportunity to freely print, translate and distribute storybooks of children aged from 5 to above. The creative volunteers are willing to create new African storybooks to better educate and entertain children across Africa.

Their main aim is to help those who are unable to buy or afford a book, to easily get them as they like. At book dash gathers, one can write, illustrate, join a team or become a distribution partner in enabling the team to give books to as many children as possible. Grants and donation are also allowed: the Goethe Institute gladly sponsored an event with a team of talented volunteers across Africa last 26th of October 2019.  “A child should own a hundred books by the age of five”, that is their motto. So in following that path, they created a web site page for people to cling. You can even join them on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and LinkedIn. The organisation is now present in South-Africa.
