What we do?

Building together

We are a pan-African, non-partisan network with regional and national partners in Africa and the Caribbean. We are a not-for-profit company. Professionalizing the publishing industry is our main challenge.

Our activities and projects

The publishing industry in Africa suffers from three main problems: (1) professionalisation of actors, tools, processes, practices; (2) distribution of publishing products (books, music, film, etc.); dissemination (news of the publishing industries as well as the publishing products themselves). All of our actions are designed to come as close as possible to these objectives.

Building a network

The first key to success is to get together. OAPE welcomes all actors in the publishing chain. We position ourselves as a transversal platform for the publishing professions.
